Carma Claudette Cook Anderson
February 4, 1936 --- September 24, 2020
It is with tender feeling that we announce the passing of Carma Claudette Cook Anderson at sunrise on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at home with her family.
Carma led an amazing life. She was a vociferous reader educated far beyond her Masters Degree would indicate. She was fascinated with history, world affairs, and modern scientific developments and could speak on any of these at length. In her younger years, she was a pilot. She sacrificed her dream of flying Learjets to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and soon thereafter, to marry and begin her family.
Married for more than 59 years to Glenn Anderson, she is Mother to six and Grandmother to nineteen. For Carma, there was nothing more important than her family. She believed in the importance of education and vigorously promoted music and the arts, especially with her children. She was an accomplished singer and pianist, performed in many musicals and theatrical productions, and directed regional choirs. She leaves a grand legacy that is an inspiration to all who knew her.
She will be dearly missed.
